How do I add locations, venues and stages to my map?

Create locations for your venues and stages, pin them on the interactive map, or use an image of your festival map.

Written by Derrick Smittenaar

You add venues and stages as locations in the Locations section of the TMSQR App Manager. When you pin your first location on the map, the interactive festival map is published in your TMSQR app automatically.

Available in: Base and Pro plans for the interactive map. An image map is available in all plans.

How do I add a location?

  1. Log in to the TMSQR App Manager and go to Locations.

  2. Create a new location and give it a name. Add a subtitle if you like, for example the stage name.

  3. Search for the address in the map, then set a pin by clicking the map.

  4. Choose an icon for the location.

  5. Save the location.

When you publish your first location, the festival map appears in your TMSQR app, in the bottom bar and under Info pages.

Important: Each stage or space needs its own location. If two performances happen at the same location at the same time, their blocks overlap in the Block view of the timetable.

What do visitors see on the interactive map?

Visitors see their own position in relation to your venues and stages. When visitors tap a location, they see the next three performances at that location.

What is the difference between the interactive map and an image map?

  • Interactive map (Base and Pro): your locations are pinned on a real map. Visitors see where they are and which performances come next at each location.

  • Image map (all plans): your own festival map as a JPG image, for example a designed site map.

How do I add an image map?

  1. Go to Info pages in the TMSQR App Manager.

  2. Click Add info and choose the type Image only.

  3. Upload your map as a JPG image.

  4. Save the info page.

The size of the image doesn't matter much, because visitors can scroll and zoom in. This makes an image map perfect for a large site map with lots of details. Read How do I create an info page?
