You create categories in the Artist Categories section of the TMSQR App Manager. Visitors use them to filter your line-up by genre or discipline, such as rock, electronic, film or talks. The category filter shows in the line-up of your TMSQR app as soon as you create categories.
Available in: all plans (Platform and Standalone)
Tip: Create your artist pages first. Adding artists to categories is easiest when your line-up is already filled in.
How do I create categories?
Log in to the TMSQR App Manager and go to Artist Categories.
Click the green Add Category button, enter a name and click Create. You can add all the categories you want to use.
The categories now show in the line-up of your TMSQR app, behind the filter icon in the top right corner.
How do I add artists to a category?
In Artist Categories, click a category.
In the top right corner, use Find artist by title. Type the first letters of the artist or program item.
Click Link existing to add the artist to the category.
Repeat for every artist in this category.
Save the category.
Go to the next category with the arrows in the bottom right corner and repeat.
Important: Link artists to every category. A category without artists shows an empty list when visitors tap it.
Can an artist be in more than one category?
Yes. You can add an artist or program item to several categories.
How do visitors use categories in my app?
Visitors open the line-up in your TMSQR app.
They tap the filter icon in the top right corner.
They choose a category and see only the artists in that category.
Do categories also filter the timetable?
No. The category filter only works in the line-up, not in the timetable.
