You create news items in the Home section of the TMSQR App Manager, on the News tab. News items appear on the homescreen of your TMSQR app, and you can add as many as you like.
Available in: all plans (Platform and Standalone)
How do I create a news item?
Log in to the TMSQR App Manager and go to Home.
Open the News tab.
Click the green Add News button.
Fill in the Title and the Text. You can make text bold, italic or underlined, and add links.
Upload an Image, the best format is landscape, 900 × 550 pixels.
Optional: paste a full YouTube URL, such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=…
Check that Publish is ticked and click Create.
Your news item now shows on the homescreen of your TMSQR app.
Can I schedule a news item?
Yes. Set a Publication Date in the future. Your news item then appears in your app automatically at that date and time. The publication date uses the time zone of your app, which is shown below the field, for example Europe/Amsterdam or Europe/London. Read How do I set the time zone and AM/PM notation?
Can I hide a news item without deleting it?
Yes. Open the news item and untick Publish. The news item disappears from your app, and you can publish it again at any time.
What makes a good news item?
Add an image to every news item, in landscape format of 900 × 550 pixels.
Use images without text in them. Text in an image is hard to read on a phone and can't be read by search engines or screen readers.
Keep the title short so it fits on the homescreen.
Can I link a push notification to a news item?
Yes. When you send a push notification, you can link it to a news item. Visitors who tap the push notification open the news item. Read How do I send a push notification?
